I made this smaller mosaic in between. I’ll tell you why later. 
. Did you know that this gesture, which we all know, dates back to the Greeks and was later adopted by the Romans? At that time, however, the gesture did not have a negative connotation as it does with us today. So it definitely belongs in my series ‘ Roman with a twist ‘ because I can imagine the Romans would also would have depicted this… they liked a bit of humor and a bit of provocation from time to time, right?
